Our story

Over 75 years ago, we made our mark in the pharmaceutical space as the first producers of ethycellulose (EC) and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) excipients, known as ETHOCEL^TM and METHOCEL^TM. Since then, we have continued to develop some of the most well-known brands in the industry, including Avicel^®, the first microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) excipient, POLYOX™ polyethylene oxide, which plays a pivotal role in osmotic pump technologies and other innovative drug delivery systems, and many more.
